Living Prayer

In pursuing a life of prayer, you do not have to become different.  As Jim put it, “You are not required to become holy or different in order to reach a Divine state of being.  You can just be you, just as you are.  Infuse life with prayer.  Every moment was an opportunity for prayer.  To those who said, “I have no time for prayer,” his response was, “You have plenty of time.”  Walking, driving, answering the phone, scrubbing the floor – any activity that did not require all of your mental capacity was an opportunity for prayer.   (from Leading a Life of Prayer)

  1. I always loved the fact that Jim encouraged us all to live our Divinity. No particular doctrine or mantra...just be Divine! One of my goals is for my life to become my prayer--expressing Oneness in every moment.

  2. Prayer does not need words or thoughts. I can just be a spontaneous outpouring of the heart or a sense of wonder.

  3. An attitude of prayer...otherwise we couldn't "pray without ceasing"
